  • A discussion of a recent BC Court of Appeal decision, Zheng v. Bank of China (Canada) Vancouver Richmond Branch, 2023 BCCA 43, involving the question of a bank’s duty to warn its customers of a potentially fraudulent transaction.
  • A summary of the Supreme Court of Canada’s recent rulings on the overarching duty of good faith and honesty in contractual performance
  • Insight into how the duty of good faith might (or should) inform an expansion of the duties banks owe to their customers, including the duty to warn
