Managing Indirect Tax Audits and Controversy

During this one-hour session, David will cover the different types of audits conducted by the Canada Revenue Agency as well as provincial sales tax authorities in the provinces of British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. David will highlight various best practices and how to work effectively with auditors and collections officers. He will also outline what to expect in different audit scenarios and specify the types of information and documentation to have prepared and ready to submit to auditors. Lastly, David will explain how certain professional fees accountants (and lawyers) related to audits can be “insured” or waived.
