About the Event
This seminar will provide you with:
- Review of essential personal tax numbers, credits and brackets including a look into amounts for the upcoming 2023 tax year
- An overview of new tax credits, deductions and tax measures introduced in the 2021 & 2022 Federal Budget applicable to 2022 T1 personal tax returns including new affordability measures recently introduced, The First Time Home Buyers Savings Account (FHSA), and immediate expensing legislation
- A discussion of recent court cases and issues of interest to those who prepare personal tax returns for clients. We will also look at CRA’s current areas of focus and administrative positions related to these cases
- A discussion of relevant factors and issues that you may encounter during the upcoming tax season along with practitioner insights on various matters from across the country
Note: The focus of this seminar will be on new Federal tax programs. However, where relevant, an overview of Provincial tax numbers will also be provided.
